Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Home Dashboard ("the app") handles information, including data received from Google APIs.
Who uses the app
The app is a personal tool used only by its owner, on the owner's own computer. It is not distributed to other users.
What Google data the app accesses
- Gmail (read-only): the sender, subject, short preview and date of the most recent inbox messages and starred messages, plus the unread count.
- Google Calendar (read-only): titles, times and locations of events for the next few days.
The app cannot send, delete, or change any email or calendar event.
How the data is used
Google data is used only to display it to the owner on their private start page. It is not used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or training any AI or machine-learning model.
Storage
Email and calendar content is held only briefly in memory on the owner's computer to draw the page and is not written to disk or sent to any server. The sign-in token Google issues is stored in a file on that same computer, readable only by the owner's account.
Sharing
No Google user data is sold, shared with, or transferred to any third party.
Limited Use
Home Dashboard's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Other services
The app also shows data from Spotify (currently playing track) and Canvas (upcoming assignments) using the owner's own accounts, handled the same way: displayed locally, never shared.
Removing access
Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account → Third-party connections. Doing so stops the app from reading any further data.
